Tunis Events Calendar: Week of August 5, 2019 – August 11, 2019

Graffiti reading "RIP Omar” in both English and Arabic on a wall in Hay el Wahhat, Tunis, July 31, 2019. "Omar” refers to Omar Laabidi, a 19-year-old football fan who, according to Amnesty International and testimony by family, drowned in a river after a match when police chased him there and responded to his protests that he could not swim with "learn to swim” or "ta'allem aoum.” Photo by Fadil Aliriza.
