Tunis Events Calendar: Week of August 12 – 18, 2019

Graffiti reading “Ta’allem aoum” in Arabic, or “learn to swim” on a wall in the old city medina, Tunis, May 29, 2019. The phrase refers to words police allegedly told Omar Laabidi, a 19-year-old football fan who, according to Amnesty International and testimony by family, drowned in a river after a match when police chased him there.
